Movie Critic

Princess M had just finished watching a movie when the following conversation took place:

Mom:  M, so what movie did you watch?
M: Monsters vs Aliens.
Dad: Who won this time?
M: Monsters...again!
Dad: Well, when are the Aliens going to win?
M: Never, the monsters always win.
Mom: That doesn't seem fair.
Dad: Yeah, the monsters should learn to share and let the Aliens win now and then...
M: Daaaaddd.
Dad: Would you like playing a game with someone who never lets you win...
M: Daaaaddd.
Dad: Shouldn't the Aliens get a chance to win and destroy the world sometime?
M: DAD!  But then it would be PG13!

And there you have it.

Belated Birthdays

Banana Girl and Alex share a birthday, which just happened to be the Saturday that we moved to Sierra Vista.  As a result, although not forgotten, their birthday did get severely neglected and pretty much ignored for over a week until we were settled in a bit.  Here are some pic from the birthday party, when we finally got around to celebrating.

Here's them blowing out the candles: 2 for Banana Girl turning 2, and a token one for Alex.

Banana Girl definitely figured out the whole opening presents talent this year.

Happy Birthday my darling 2 year old and my dearest husband!  Sorry for the delay this year.

Found some pictures

Before we left Colorado Springs, we held a BBQ for all our friends and family in the area in order to say goodbye (and to use up a bunch of freezer food that we didn't want to pack for the move).  It ended up being a lot of fun and quite a good number showed up.  Many brought side dishes to add to the feast and weveral really helped us out with the grills and grilling part of it all.  It was really nice to just relax and hang out one more time with all the people we cared about before loading up the van and heading out.  It gave princess M a chance to play with all her friends and say goodbye too.  We sure miss you all.

Here's quite a few photos from the event.
